The Governor’s Office of Indian Affairs, and the Montana Department of Administration invite you to the Montana Broadband Tribal Consultation Forum on September 27 & 28 in Billings at the Northern Hotel.
It is critically important for Tribal voices to be heard in Montana’s planning process of applying for historic funding to provide broadband services for Montanans and help close the digital divide in Tribal and urban communities. We will provide informational sessions including a brief overview of the State’s planning and implementation phases and a high-level review of program timelines. We will facilitate conversation sessions where your input is invaluable. Specifically, the State of Montana seeks to understand the needs, challenges, and issues regarding connectivity in Indian Country while honoring your sovereignty in this Government-to-Government partnership. We invite Tribal Leaders, Tribal Broadband, Housing and Infrastructure professionals and other stakeholders to attend.
Lunch will be provided both days. We will also provide a link for those who would like to attend virtually.

Day 1: Limited to Tribal attendees, the National
Telecommunications and Information Administration will provide updates with a
Q&A session. Montana’s Department of Administration will provide mapping
information, updates, an overview of the planning process and facilitate a
session of consultation.
All registrants are invited to a Networking Reception on the
evening of Day 1.
Day 2: All registrants are welcome! Leaders in the National and
Tribal broadband industry will provide valuable presentations and workshops
throughout the day and there will be drawings for door prizes.
