OCTOBER 24, 2023  | 3:00-7:00 PM

THE NORTHERN HOTEL
BILLINGS, MT

On Tuesday afternoon, the Montana Chamber brought together business leaders and public officials from across the Treasure State for our 2023 Annual Membership Meeting and Titans of Business Oro y Plata Awards presented by Weyerhaeuser.

Distinguished members of Governor Gianforte’s cabinet shared their perspectives on the four pillars of Envision 2026 – Business Climate, Infrastructure, Workforce Development, and Entrepreneurship. We also gained valuable insights into Montana’s tax landscape from Evan Wilson at Moore Information Group. View his presentation to the Montana Chamber Board here.

During the event, we had the privilege of honoring exceptional individuals within Montana’s business community through the presentation of the Titans of Business Oro y Plata Awards, and our first Innovation in Education Award from the Montana Chamber Foundation’s Empowered (Youth Entrepreneurs Program).

TITANS OF BUSINESS ORO Y PLATA AWARD WINNERS
  • Legacy Award: BERG GARAGE
  • Manufacturing Ally Award: MONTANA MANUFACTURING EXTENSION CENTER
  • First Impression Award: GLASSYBABY
  • Innovation in Education Award: JODY SANDRU, TWIN BRIDGES HIGH SCHOOL

The event also marked a significant moment for the Montana Chamber as we confirmed seven new BOARD DIRECTORS and appointed a new Chair. Each of them serves as your voice, representing our membership’s interests at the Capitol.

MEETING AGENDA:

Additionally, we recognized lawmakers who were named the 2023 Legislative Champions of Business for their steadfast support of pro-business policies during the 68th Session. View the VOTING REPORT HERE.

Finally, we presented Governor Greg Gianforte the “Open for Business Award.” He has made it a priority to improve the #businessclimate here in the Treasure State. Our success during the 68th Legislative Session was made possible through collaboration with the Governor and his Administration. Our priorities were often aligned, especially on HB212 to increase the business equipment tax exemption. Without the Governor’s signature our ten priority pieces of legislation, and other key bills supporting #workforcedevelopment, #infrastructure, and #entrepreneurship would not have become law.
