In 2017, the Montana Chamber Foundation brought to Montana Youth Entrepreneurs, a nationally recognized program that develops employability traits and instills economic and entrepreneurial principles in our future workforce.
In Montana, Youth Entrepreneurs has grown from 4 schools in 6 communities to 126 educators in 84 schools across 78 communities.
Ninety-six percent of teachers have seen evidence of transformational character-building in their Youth Entrepreneurs students.
Eighty-eight percent of teachers reported their Youth Entrepreneurs students gaining a greater sense of confidence through the program.
Youth Entrepreneurs helps students develop the soft skills—such as creativity, focus mastery, and a growth mindset—that Montana businesses have told us they’re looking for in potential employees.
Through Youth Entrepreneurs, students also are encouraged to develop their own business ideas and compete in a national competition for cash prizes.
