HELENA — On Tuesday, Todd O’Hair was named the next Montana Chamber of Commerce president/CEO by the Montana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. O’Hair will begin his position May 1.

“I am honored to take on the role as president and CEO of Montana’s leading business advocate, the Montana Chamber of Commerce,” O’Hair said. “I look forward to building on the great work and reputation of the Montana Chamber to promote and foster a business climate that supports the existing business base, creates good paying jobs and promotes opportunities for new business growth. The Montana Chamber’s strategic plan, Envision 2026, serves as a great foundation to focus our attention in advocating for the Montana business community and growing the state’s economy.”

O’Hair is a Montana native and was previously the senior manager of government affairs for Cloud Peak Energy. He also served on the Montana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was the chair of the board from 2016-17. Prior to Cloud Peak Energy, O’Hair worked at the Montana Auto Dealers Association for one year and worked in Gov. Judy Martz’s office for four years as the natural resources policy advisor.

“We are excited to have Todd join the Montana Chamber of Commerce as the next president/CEO,” said Bill McGladdery, chair of the Montana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “Todd will be a great asset to the Montana Chamber with his previous work experiences and knowledge of Montana. We are also grateful to Cary Hegreberg for leading the Montana Chamber through this time of transition.
