BUTTE – Webb Scott Brown, the president/CEO of the Montana Chamber of Commerce, announced during the Montana Chamber’s Annual Meeting today he will retire Dec. 31, 2018.

“I will leave 20 years to the day since I started work, and I have loved those years with the Montana Chamber of Commerce,” Brown said. “It has been a pleasure to serve as the president/CEO of Montana’s leading business advocacy organization. I’ve had the privilege and pleasure to work for and with businesses and individuals all across Big Sky Country. I’m proud of the work we have done to create a greater Montana.”

Before coming to the Montana Chamber, Brown was the membership and government relations director at the Billings Area Chamber of Commerce and the executive director at the Lewistown Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We appreciate all of the work Webb has done over the years for the Montana Chamber and across Montana,” said Bill McGladdery, the chair of the Montana Chamber Board of Directors. “Specifically, over the past two years, Webb has helped kickstart Envision 2026, the Montana Chamber’s ten-year strategic plan and showed why Montana needs this plan. We will miss his leadership and wish him well in retirement.”

Brown also served as the executive director of the Montana Chamber Foundation those twenty years.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Webb for many years as the chair of the foundation and the Montana Chamber,” said Tami Christensen, the president of the Montana Chamber Foundation. “It’s been an honor to see how our programs impact Montanans, such as the High School Business Challenge. He’s been a pillar of the business community and we will miss him dearly in that role.”
