HELENA– With one week remaining in the fall edition of the High School Business Challenge (HSBC), a team from Heritage Christian High School in Bozeman bested its competitors across the Treasure State during the seventh week of competition.
The HSBC is an eight-week long business competition where teams of two to five students manage and make decisions for a company they run through a computer program provided by the Montana Chamber Foundation, Reach Higher Montana and the Montana Council on Economic Education.
Each team begins the competition with a stock price of $25 per share. Heritage Christian ended the week with a final price of $173.20 per share. The other competitors rounding out the top-eight include teams from: Dillon, Malta, Poplar, Anaconda and Circle.
The top-eight fall groups with the highest stock prices are invited to compete in spring with the top-eight teams from the spring semester in the Challenge Bowl. During the Challenge Bowl, each team completes four inputs (equivalent to decisions made throughout four business quarters) and final team standings are based upon the final stock price.
