2016-17 ANNUAL REPORT
The first full year of implementation of our strategic plan saw immediate success in all four goals and objectives. The business community rallied around Envision 2026 and the results show great progress.
In 2017, we made great strides in addressing some our infrastructure issues. We also made improvements to our state’s liability system – with Montana rising from 34th to the 27th best state legal system, according to the Institute for Legal Reform of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber also engaged in workforce development, with the passage of an apprenticeship tax credit and the authority for dual enrollment pathways. Finally, we embarked on helping develop the future Montana business leaders through our entrepreneurship initiatives.
In 2018, we will continue implementing our 10-year strategic plan. This means following our objectives to meet our long-term goals, engaging in research, and holding ourselves accountable to all Montanans.
