Dental and vision care are important components of overall health. This is why Montana Chamber Choices includes a $100 preventive dental benefit (cleaning) for every covered life on the Program (excludes CMM HSA 50% coinsurance, $2500 deductible option. It’s also why Montana Chamber Choices added a VSP WellVision Exam for all covered members in 2012.
$100 preventive dental benefit
An annual preventive visit to the dentist ensures oral health and can detect an underlying dental or health issue before it becomes more serious which is especially important for people with diabetes and expectant mothers. Details of this benefit include:
- No network restriction on this benefit. Choose any provider.
- No separate ID card for this service.
- The dental provider will simply bill BCBSMT for the service under medical benefits.
VSP WellVision Exam
Through your annual eye exam, your VSP Signature network doctor can detect signs of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, before these diseases have the chance to greatly impact your vision. Many eye conditions are very treatable when caught early, saving your sight and in some cases, even your life.
Starting January 1, 2012 all Montana Chamber Choices plans added include, the VSP WellVision Exam for all covered members with a $10 copayment. There are also voluntary buy-up options for employees and employers. Details about this benefit and buy-up options are below.
